Using meditation to refresh our imaginations, we will do continuous writing, then share (or not, as you choose). This ancient process is found to enhanced clarity and connection with our creativity. It develops skill and confidence in listening to the vitality of our own and others' voices. Themes and alive expression emerge from which we may choose to shape more structured work, or not.
Working together means that the writing happens—no distractions. Leaving aside the judgement of the critic we listen to each other for enjoyment and to learn from another's way of expressing our very own mind and heart.
This approach functions with any extent of familiarity with either meditation or creative expression.
A starting phrase will be offered to start improvisation flowing. Or you may arrive with your own writing topic as part of a planned project, or to explore, or free up, a new or stuck area in your expression.
At our last meeting we decided to begin holding the writing sessions at fortnightly intervals. Days, times and frequency can be changed to suit those who wish to commit to regular participation.
