Thursday CASTLEWOOD DOG HIKE, Grotpeter Trail, a little DIFFICULT with big hills

This will be our new location for our Thursday morning hikes for a while. We have lots of options here, and can decide where we want to go, based on who signs up and weather.

FOR THIS HIKE ONLY....

GROTPETER TRAIL, which is mainly the mountain biker trail, but we can do it on Thursdays, especially if it's cold or muddy, the bikers kinda stay home then. About 4-5 miles, moderately to difficult terrain. The hardest of all these hikes. We like this one when it's cold enough. Sometimes, we get lost here, but always find our way back.

BRING PLENTY OF WATER FOR YOUR DOG. No water on the trail until we get back down "Cardiac Hill" and we can hit the creek for dogs to drink & cool down. We'll also be on the "Roller Coaster" part of the trail. The bikers name everything! LOL

Meet at the parking lot just past the creek, there is a pavillion/playground

BRING WATER FOR YOUR DOG
TENNIS SHOES OKAY USUALLY. Hiking boots better on Grotpeter.
TRAILS CAN ALL BE MUDDY AFTER A RAIN.
