The Shire of Granite Spyre is part of Amtgard, a nation-wide, free-to-play, medieval fantasy combat sport. We are located in the Kingdom of The Wetlands (Southeast Texas and West Louisiana). Our membership is made up of residents of West Houston and Katy.
Members of our Shire are active in many Amtgard activities, including combat, the arts and sciences (including, but not limited to costuming, armor crafting, cooking, and painting), and theater arts. Amtgard combat uses safe, padded weapons and shields which are simulations of the real thing, and offers a fast-paced, high-cardio workout. Armor is real steal, leather, or cloth armor based off of historical models.
We invite anyone interested in any of these activities, to come visit us at our shire meetings and fighter practices held every Sunday at Ray Miller Park. Just check out the Calendar to see if there will be any deviations!

Due to the Holiday, we will be meeting at Thalen's place this week. We'll be doing some Arts and Sciences, as well as some fighting in the back yard. He may even mow for us.
