BBQ on the edge of the canal, Ste Anne de Bellevue

Pepa and I will commandeer one of the picnic tables and set up a portable BBQ you are welcome to use it, so bring your eats and drinks.
The canal is at the south western edge of Ste Anne de Bellevue. It allows pleasure boats to travel from the Saint Lawrence river and Lac St-Louis to Lac des Deux Montagnes and the Ottawa river.
On the western side of the canal there is a jetty with picnic tables. We will be on one of them. (can't tell you which one because they are free to the public and can not be reserved.)
The canal is a fun place on weekends and holidays, boats line the canal, lots to see especially later in the afternoon when alcohol fuels exuberance and the bikinis come out.
We can also explain the working of the locks that allow boats to 'climb' the rapids at this juncture to any of you who are interested.
In case of rain, we'll move to Annies for food and drinks
