what we will do:

-four peaks. ontario, big horn, cucamonga and ettiwanda. starting at 5:30 am so as to avoid as much heat as possible.
-about 18 miles RT.
-5,800ft elevation gain.
-out and back starting from ice house canyon.

what to bring:

sunscreen
4 liters of water/gatorade/crack cocaine/just kidding!
sunglasses
hat
cool clothing but don't bring shorts unless you can switch into pants back and forth (i know, i know but you'll thank me later!)
food (obviously)

Passes:

Each car will need an Adventure Pass for parking in the Angeles National Forest.

Directions:

from the 210 Freeway: Exit Baseline Road in Claremont. Turn left on Baseline. In one block turn right unto Padua Avenue. In 1.7 miles turn right onto Mt. Baldy Road. After 7.2 miles you pass the Angeles National Forest Mt. Baldy Visitor Center in Mt. Baldy Village. You can get a Forest Adventure Pass and wilderness permit here. Continue 1.5 miles to the Icehouse Canyon entrance. Turn right and park in the large parking area.

For all trips, wear boots or sturdy shoes, and bring lunch, lots of drinks, warm clothing (depending on altitude)

Trips are canceled in the event of rain (unless trip leader states differently). So assume it is canceled if it's raining the morning of.

The trip "leader" is a volunteer and not a real leader (i.e. not liable for the group). Think of it as hiking with a group of friends.

Joining this group is entirely voluntary and participants assume the full risks associated with the activities. It is each hiker's responsibility to ensure that s/he is in sufficient fitness and health to participate in a strenuous hike, with the appropriate water, food, clothing, first aid, and navigation equipment for the conditions. This group and the individual organizers make no warranties about the safety or supervision of these activities.
