Technical Canyoneering - San Antonio Creek

Nothing beats rappelling down waterfalls on a hot day!

Trip Basics:

4 Mile hike in, 2000ft elevation gain.

6 Rappels up to 80ft, one in a waterfall.

Meeting Location:

Park at upper end of Manker Flats Campground in one of the dirt areas near the gated Falls Road on the left (if you reach the ski lift parking lot, you've gone too far). Adventure pass is required.

Meet at 7:45am for a gear check. We'll start hiking at 8am.

RSVPing:

Prior technical canyoneering experience is required.

Gear:

I have 8.3mm ropes, but everyone should bring everything (ropes, webbing, etc) and we sort it out at the parking lot.

Your personal gear should include:

Helmet Harness Rappel device (ATC or Figure 8) Personal safety tether (Sterling Chain Reactor, Petzl Spelegyca, etc) Three or more locking biners (you can never have too many) Leather gloves Plus all your personal hiking gear.
