join us this sunday for two peaks and a whole mountain (albeit a small one) of hiking. we'll be headed to stoddard peak (4,624ft) and frankish peak (4,198ft) first. it's 13 miles round trip. after that we'll drive down the road and head over to potato mountain (3,422ft) for a 4 mile round trip trek. total milage will be about 17 miles. both hikes will be on used service roads with a small amount of cross country before reaching the peak. all three peaks are considered easy hikes. the only challenge here will be the total mileage achieved. anyone who is not feeling potato mountain is free to bail after we complete stoddard and frankish peaks.

Directions:

TH DIRECTION:
From the 210 traveling East, exit Baseline Road in Claremont. Turn left on Baseline. In one block turn right onto Padua Avenue. In 1.7 miles, turn right onto Mt. Baldy Road (stop sign). Continue on Mount Baldy Road until you reach Baldy Village. The church will be on your left hand side.

WHAT TO BRING:

  1. You know the Distance, Elevation gain, Weather, and your Own physical abilities. Please bring enough Water/Electrolyte, and Food accordingly. Extra Water and Food as an emergency backup.

  2. Layers clothing, Hiking Poles, Headlamp, Gloves, Hat, Sun glasses, Sun screen, and any medicine you take regularly.

  4. Trail or TOPO map, GPS, or any other route information you might have.

  5. Most important, Please bring a very friendly and pleasant attitude.

Trips are canceled in the event of rain (unless trip leader states differently). So assume it is canceled if it's raining the morning of.

Joining this group is entirely voluntary and participants assume the full risks associated with the activities.
