Bear Claw Run

15-20 miles, plus extra (optional) miles

Destination: Pastries & coffee at Grand & 101st Ave (New York West bakery)

After returning to Rio Vista, we have the option to add a few miles on the New River, Skunk Creek or Great Arizona Canal paths. (for those plagued by pastry guilt and those who just like to ride a bit farther)

This is a slow ride, encouraging chatting as we cruise through wide, quiet neighborhood streets in Sun City. Nobody gets left behind. We might pick up the pace a bit, as we add miles past the first 15.

Look at the event as the "entry level drug" to West valley Casual Bike Rides, or sightseeing on wheels.

Tandems, Elliptigos, recumbents, hybrids, Super 32s, 29ers, unicycles, cruisers, mountain bikes... we take 'em all along on this ride.

NOTE: This ride is an official Arizona Bicycle Club ride. Membership is not required. Guests are welcome, but asked to sign a waiver on their first ride.

Work is keeping me on my computer. Hate to miss it. Enjoy it, stay safe, and enjoy the carbs.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
