Last month's program: what a beautiful place, and what a wonderful party!
We owe Lura Lee a great debt for putting out such a lavish spread.
This month on June 15 we'll try a slightly new program direction: a workshop and swapshop:
In other words, look for things you don't have; or things you might want, or trade for; bring things for trade and what you might not want.
AND we'll have a show and tell; so bring a good tree, perhaps the equivalent of a tree you are going to work on, or of a variety you are entering into the swap shop.
Of course you can bring one or more plants for a raffle as well. There will be a raffle. Included in the raffle there will be a large juniper with a very interesting line and thick trunk.
Next month we are going to invite and are hunting for a good touring pro. Jeff found a number of them at the BSF convention and it's just a matter of finding a good piece of material to match up with something they wish to play with.
Among those discussed have been: Ed Trout, Rob Kempinski, Paul Pikel, Mike Rogers, Adam Lavigne, Erik Wigert, and Tom Brantley
We'll talk a bit about who we might like at this month's meeting.
Jeff's been thinking of new and interesting types of programs, and making good progress; however there's always room for more, though, so bring your thinking caps too and we'll extend our list of possible programs.
Let's flesh out some of the rest of the year's programs this month too.
See you then.
