ABOUT US: Although we are les-centered, any women who are les-friendly are welcome. Ideal for any women new to the area, visiting, or just want to expand their circle of friends. We are often copied by UNoriginal groups, but don't be fooled, we have original event ideas and an original format (EVEN OUR TEXT IS COPIED). Our smaller events include our "Caffeine and Conversation," "Shoppin' Safari" and "Get a Room!" get-togethers. Our largest events include the "Chica Beach" (up to 600 women in 2009) and Dinah-Related parties (in association with our first sponsor, Mariah Hanson). We get great deals for our "Fly-Aways" to Hawaii, New York and even France. Throughout, we will have wine tastings and dinners at great places and prices, special events like the Exes & Ohs Premire Party in association with Logo television and many other joint events with other groups both on and off MeetUp.com in addition to keeping you in-the-know about what's happening.

GETTING STARTED: For you newbies, get oriented by clicking the Message Board tab. In the Discussions and Ideas folder, everyone is free to discuss topics or propose ideas for new events. Our Archive has a list of regular area events (Where The Girls Are) along with several interesting posts. Click the "Calendar" tab to see what events are being planned and are coming up over the next month or two. While we will plan evenings and events for you, you can essentially vote for an event by RSVPing "Yes." Vote for as many different events as you like, but only one vote for each event (unless you're counting your guests). We will then start planning that event as the votes increase including the amount of information posted. Also, feel free to suggest ideas of your own, contribute information or comments or volunteer to help. Keep in mind, our Calendar lists events from MANY sources so there may be apparent conflicts. This is done to let you know what's happening and give you choices. Feel free to go on your own, with a few friends or with the entire group to any of the calendared events.
