More info on the subject:

How can we sense the world? Bernie will give a naturalistic viewpoint, and Dennis will present an additional spiritual (supernatural) perspective.

Both agree that we have five senses: hearing, sight, touch, smell, and taste. In addition, Dennis will argue that we have three more (supernatural) components to sense and interact with the world, and with God: mind, heart, and spirit.

At issue is "do we have just a natural body, or a body and a spirit?" And if we have a spirit, how does it interact with the brain and our other natural organs? Dennis believes in a supernatural world, one in which we can interact with God. Bernie believes there is no supernatural world, and there are no gods.

Dennis has a section on this topic in his book.
