This book club will be combined with the Baltimore friends meetup group that is a coed group so this may be a coed event!

Let's Have Brunch and read some interesting books by a Baltimore author (or at least the setting of the book will take place in Baltimore).

Being involved in reading a book and discussing that book is a great opportunity to meet new people and to share your thoughts on a book! Especially a book that is by a Baltimore author!!!

In addition to discussing the book, we can all bring a brunch dish for all to enjoy!

I will host this event at my house and provide the pumpkin pancakes. Although, I am not a vegetarian, I will also provide at least one vegatarian dish for any vegetarians who may attend.

TIME and Date: May 6th at 11:45am

I hope you all will find this enjoyable and I would like to do more book clubs if the interest is there.

Please see the book selection below and when you RSVP please select what you'd like to bring for brunch.

Noah’s Compass by Anne Tyler

From the incomparable Anne Tyler, a wise, gently humorous, and deeply compassionate novel about a schoolteacher, who has been forced to retire at sixty-one, coming to terms with the final phase of his life. Liam Pennywell, who set out to be a philosopher and ended up teaching fifth grade, never much liked the job at that run-down private school, so early retirement doesn’t bother him. But he is troubled by his inability to remember anything about the first night that he moved into his new, spare, and efficient condominium on the outskirts of Baltimore. All he knows when he wakes up the next day in the hospital is that his head is sore and bandaged. His effort to recover the moments of his life that have been stolen from him leads him on an unexpected detour. What he needs is someone who can do the remembering for him. What he gets is—well, something quite different. We all know a Liam. In fact, there may be a little of Liam in each of us.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
