Summer Quarterly Meeting--Mikael Behrens--"Birds of Broadmeade"

Mikael will focus his talk on the birds found along Lake Creek Trail. "Patch birding" is a recent addition to the birding world. Mikael says "I've been birding primarily in my NW Austin neighborhood (his patch), in Williamson County, since 2006." During this period he has found a large number species inhabiting this urban neighborhood at various seasons of the year. Mikael became interested in birds when he took an ornnithology class as part of his efforts to secure a computer science degree from the University of Texas. He is also involved in several conservation efforts around the area.
