(CANCELLED) North Texas Smartphone App Competition 2013: Hackathon

NOTE: Graham Smith has provided us with an update regarding this meetup:

Everybody attending! This event has been canceled as of last night's information session. If you would like you can still work via the web or with a team at Starbucks or somewhere else to complete an app to submit for the Joyn contest on their website.

Thanks!

Please contact Graham or Randall for more information.

There is a $30 charge for registration.

The Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UT Dallas and the Mayor’s Office of International Business for the Richardson Economic Development Partnership will be hosting a panel of mobile industry experts to speak on how Rich Communication Services have already been launched by many carriers (with more coming in 2013) and how applications can leverage RCS to deliver improved application experiences.

Details about the joyn business plan and application hackathon competition (1/4—1/6) will be presented, and the resources made available to entrants to prepare for the international competition. Winners from this event will be invited to display their application at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

I see some who have signed up for this event have not RSVPed for the information session the day before. I realize some attendees may not be able to make it, but I highly recommend that those who can, do! http://www.meetup.com/Windows-Phone-App-Development-Group-DFW-Dallas-Texas/events/95814712/

Since I won't be at this event, could I trouble some or all of the attendees to take photos for this group? Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure it's $30 per person no matter what. That's part of registration.
