Standup Comedy + Drinks | Small Group, Queen West

A new format: you choose who you're interested in meeting
This meetup is about getting to know to new people and sharing the experience in a small group (4-6 people).

We use the LYTT platform to handle group size and balance - so you're not just hoping someone interesting shows up. To apply you will need to create an account at lytt.me - it's free.

The event: Standup Comedy
Weekend showcase at The Corner Comedy Club - Toronto's intimate basement venue on Queen West. 50 seats max, comedians from Netflix and Just For Laughs, and you're close enough to make eye contact with the performers.
We'll meet 30 minutes before the show for drinks, watch the comedy together, then grab food or more drinks after. The whole thing runs about 2.5 hours.

3. We form groups where the interest is mutual

Applying doesn't guarantee a spot - but we may form multiple groups or invite you to similar events with other crews.

Seva in the City (Homeless Outreach)

Seva in the City is simply homeless outreach but broadly it's the act of immersing oneself in service. There is no political affiliation and the experience is meant to be secular
The Plan
Depending on the weather and turnout, I hope to visit the homeless encampment at the Allan Gardens and dispense our donations.
Bring one of the items on the Donation List below. All new volunteers are required to let me know what they're bringing in advance through the discussion below.

Join us for a fun and social evening of speed dating! Other speed dating events may get you 6-7 dates, but at 15 First Dates you'll be meeting at least 15 people!

How speed dating works is that you will meet members of the opposite sex for quick 4 minute dates, and then you will give them a yes or a no. They will then do the same thing for you. If there is a mutual match, contact information will be exchanged the next day.

We will give you all needed materials, and explain the process to you once everyone has arrived. You don't need to bring anything, just come dressed for success!

This event is for people aged 28-42. Ticket prices will go up closer to the date of the event, so don't wait till the last minute!
