Within Every Woman is a Goddess!

Come and join us on our journey to
Invoke the Inner Goddess

We will join together in sacred
space to honor ourselves and empower the Divine Feminine in each of us.  All
women are invited from all walks of life; we do not follow any particular belief
system other than the fact that every woman is a Goddess.


We will work with the Goddess archetypes mined from the myths of societies
across the globe and across the millennium and will use meditation, dance,
drumming, and/or craft work to guide and assist us on this journey.
Be prepared to drum, to dance, to howl, to find your real inner wild woman
essence!


Please bring a pillow and blanket to lie on, and a chair if you are not
comfortable sitting on the floor.  

Dress in comfortable clothing and wear socks as we will be removing our
shoes to treat the space where we are meeting as a sacred Temple space.  

Also, bring something for our drum circle, a drum if you have one, rattles, or
even a pan to beat on is acceptable, we just want to make a joyful noise!

Each week we will also be setting up an altar to ourselves, so you are invited to
bring a sacred item to set upon this altar while you are at the gathering.

It would also be a good idea to bring a journal along to write in after the guided
meditations.

According to Wikipedia, the meaning of archetype is as follows:
An archetype (pronounced /ɑrkɪtaɪp/) is an original model of a person, ideal example,
or a prototype upon which others are copied, patterned, or emulated; a symbol
universally recognized by all. In psychology, an archetype is a model of a person,
personality, or behavior.


By focusing with intention on the Goddess as an archetype, we may
recognize aspects of her that are also within ourselves.


How do you do this? 
You begin by learning the stories, the mythologies of her various aspects.  
Immerse yourself in these stories.
Do you find one that resonates with your life situation right now?  
Research that story more deeply.  
Breathe the story into your being.  
Find pictures and symbols that evoke the passion involved.  
Then create an altar with these pictures, stones and other things associated with that
particular Goddess.
