Google Doodle Talk at Hack Night this week

From: Francesca
Sent on: Monday, January 23, 2012 2:32 PM

Hey CWD,

This Thursday at Hack Night we have the pleasure of having Marcin Wichary from the Google Doodle team give a talk on html and doodles. Marcin built among other Doodles the Google PacMan Doodle. He's a terrific speaker, and a great person to chat with about how to do excellent front end development and User Experience. As a sneak preview you should checkout his Google PacMan talk from Google IO.

You gotta do what you gotta do HTML is incredible and powerful. HTML is a mess. Marcin, a user experience designer at Google, will talk about the experience working on interactive doodles like Pac-Man, Jules Verne, Les Paul, and Stanislaw Lem. How do we put together things that will be seen by hundreds millions of people? What did we get right? What did we learn the hard way? What rules were broken and what contraptions put together?

If you've been meaning to come to Hack Night but keep on putting it off come this week. This is a talk you don't want to miss.
