Meet us at the Green Picnic Table across the street from the parking lot. I will be using my pictured bike and tailor as to recognize me. Also I will be wearing my signature pink sweat shirt. This location starts at the Fairhaven end as their is no parking lot at Matapoisett end. This is an easy ride, short and slow without those hard working hills. This trail is some 4 1/2 miles with the other branch to Little Bay.

Embark from a residential neighborhood and go through Marshes and next to Farms. Then its woodland and at the end is where we get off track. To the right is beautiful park some 1/4 mile away showcasing Mattapoisett Harbor. There is a good place to take the first brake, bring your juice or coffee. I will bring hot water from 2 stainless steal thermoses and I have Maxwell house instant coffee with sweet an low with 2 % milk if you bring your own cup. I carry all ingredients separate and mix on the spot. At this point I will show you the next off trail destination. The first time I road this extension I saw a nesting Pair of Eagles. Then its a short ride to a beach at the Harbors end.

Then its to the other rail trail branch next to two windmills. You are up close and personal with these giant structure and you can first hand see why all the protest from these effects. Next to the end and feast your eyes on Little Bay. One bench to rest on and a wharf to the water.

On the way back we travel as it seams in peoples back yard as do most rail trails do. As I would rather travel a residential road back. Pick a lunch destination like Ninety Nine restaurant for a light lunch and maybe a cocktail. Pay for your own, sorry. The Parking lot is not to far from 99 about a mile. There are other shops like McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts . Do your research or bring your own lunch.

Who ever shows up I will give a signature tassel as to identify members of this group.

Add your suggestions to this meetup if you need to for its a slow day filled with a lot of photo opportunities. I have a cell phone if you need help but ask first for the number.
