WOMEN STARTING OVER AFTER 50 is about change, it's about growth, it's about finding your passion once again. It's different from the passion you had when you were 20, 30 or 40, but "Passion is the Bridge over Fear," it was then and it is now. Some of you are single, some of you are married, some of you are empty nesters and some of you have never had children. Some of you have a working history, and some of you have never taken that path. But, whatever road you have chosen in life we all have one thing in common ... We are wonderful women 50 and beyond and starting our journey for the second half of our lives. We gather to help each other take that journey with passion and gusto to be the happy, fulfilled women we were meant to be.

One of the goals of Women Starting Over After 50 is to encourage our members' business efforts. At the same time, it is not our purpose or policy to allow meetings to be used to market to attendees. Please follow these guidelines:

When attending a meeting for the first time, women are asked to introduce themselves, and, as part of that introduction, if they are involved in a business enterprise, state very briefly what that enterprise is. Further discussion of the enterprise is not permitted during the introduction.

Women who are involved in a business enterprise that involves marketing to individuals may offer another attendee their business card, but may not further solicit attendees or market to them at WSO50 meetings, except as described below.

Sometimes speakers at WSO50 will give presentations pertinent to their business enterprises. They are expected to limit their presentations to information-sharing on the announced topic rather than business promotion.

From time to time, a WSO50 meeting will include a business promotion component. Tables will be provided in the room adjacent to the room where we hold our regular meeting. This may include, for example, members who have written books, or produced crafts that they wished to share and well. Business promotion may not extend into the social area of the meeting.
