All Group Code Night - github and gifts!

Update 12/11/12:

Hi ladies!  We grew!  In order to fit everyone comfortably for the training, we will be meeting at a NEW LOCATION - the GALVANIZE offices (see address above).  I've made an instruction sheet and posted it here.

Coming from the North:

Get off at 20th to avoid the traffic on I-25.  It's a straight shot (20th turns into Broadway) down through town, then hang a right on 11th Avenue.

Coming from the South:

Exit I-25 at Lincoln and take it north.  Hang a left on Speer and a right on Delaware.  The building is just there on the right.

See you tomorrow!

Take a break from holiday craziness to get some control...version control that is!

For our December meetup, Tim Berglund from github will be providing a 2 hour training on Git/GitHub.

From Tim: "Absolutely have laptops with git pre-installed.  The session is very hands-on, and includes everything from creating a repo to doing pull requests on GitHub. We'll basically pack as much into the two hours as we possibly can. The goal is to get everybody comfortable with the basics"

Which means...

*Bring your laptops!
*Install git on your machines prior to the meetup!

6:00 - 6:30pm - grab a bite and meet your secret santa (if you signed up for it)!

6:30 - 8:30pm - github training

*Please note, we'll be ending 30 minutes later than usual this month to fit in the training.

See you all there!

GREAT! I really appreciate how those of the testosterone persuasion kept from taking over. It's hard not to do!

Great group of folk in the room! Enjoyed the topic and the interactions. Used Git before, so was able to leverage my prior account and my older installation operated fine for the exercises.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
