JavaScript Study Group

Have you ever wondered how to add interactive behavior to an otherwise bland, static HTML CSS page? It is now time to take your webpage a step ahead with Javascript!

This study group will introduce you to the much talked about programming language, JavaScript. JavaScript is most commonly used as a client side scripting language. Its primary purpose is to add interactivity to an otherwise static page, it is normally used in conjunction with HTML & CSS to enrich your web content. JavaScript can enhance the dynamics and interactive features of your page by allowing you to perform calculations, check forms, write interactive games, add special effects, customize graphics selections, create security passwords and much more.

This study group is intended for everyone who wishes to learn JavaScript programming language, it's perfect for beginners with a basic understanding of HTML & CSS and since there is no prior installation required, JavaScript is hassle free to get started with and fun to create something that’s easy to share with friends. If you already know JavaScript, this can be a great platform for you to get together with fellow developers and hone your skills!

The event will be hands-on, so please bring your laptop and charger. We are going to follow an online resource, with mentors going around answering your questions and helping you along the way!

I hope someone can help me with my jQuery event handler tonight. The properties I may- May- need to specify are: which, target, and namespace. I pushed my project to if anyone would like to get a look at it before tonight. Thanks in advance for any help on: how to identify that user clicked "fl" button, and how to pass FL's unique id ("fl" or 1) to the getJSON function.
