Details

We will be watching videos on algorithms from Coursera, white boarding, and discussing algorithms. Coursera is offered a 6-week algorithms course from Stanford called "Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Part 1". A version of this course is taken by sophomore, junior, and senior-level computer science majors at Stanford as a required course. The class covers fundamental principles of algorithm design: divide-and-conquer methods, graph algorithms, practical data structures (heaps, hash tables, search trees), randomized algorithms, and applications. Sign up to take the course online and download the videos:

This event is exclusively open to people who identify as female -- queer- and trans-friendly.

This week we'll be working on the second half of the 4th week. StumbleUpon is providing pizza and salad.
