Social and Talk...
You've heard about CSS pre-compilers such as Sass, LESS and Stylus, but they're difficult to get up and running. Why should you bother learning yet another flash-in-the-pan language just to write the CSS that you already know?
In this talk, I will explain why you should be using a CSS pre-compilier, as well as demonstrate 3 quick wins for stylesheet development using Sass.
Bio: Katie is a web developer and Pacific Northwest native. She's been coding for the web long enough to remember when you could only debug through alerts, and the magic of the first browsers to give you color-coded syntax in View Source. She's worked on intranets, enterprise and retail sites using HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS and Sass. When not in front of a computer, she can often be found making cool things with glass in the hotshop or smashing pots in search of rupees.
