We're super excited to team up with UNF and the Sierra Club for our first "Write Around the Corner" event. It's a "Write + Hike": a 1.5-hour workshop on journaling techniques to use on the hiking trail, followed by lunch and a private hike on the UNF trails with UNF Eco-Adventure leader Jake Fitzroy. He'll show us all the coolest "sit spots" to observe nature and write in our travel journals — including a 601-year-old cypress tree!
Both men and women are welcome to attend this event. (Note: You can also register at the Sierra Club meetup site, but we are getting full there, too!)
We'll be gathering in UNF's nifty circular educational building, the John M. Golden Environmental Education Pavilion. Bring a bag lunch and water; light snacks will also be provided.
This is a fundraiser for UNF and will help support their valuable wildlife education programs.
Only 20 spots so sign up ASAP! We're reserving 5 spots for WWf(a)C members and 5 spots for Journal to the Self members; the other 10 spots will be open to Sierra Club members.
