What we’re about
We all know that it's difficult for women to meet other women in the suburbs. We also know that there are plenty of women looking to meet other women out here. So, we have put together a meetup group to make it a bit easier to connect with other gay women (couples or singles) who would enjoy getting together for dinner, potlucks, trips to wineries, hikes, etc.. So, if you live outside of the city and would like to meet other women without having to trek to DC, then this is the group for you! We look forward to meeting you!
July 18, 2013- What We're About Hi all, We wanted to post a message to remind all of our members what we, as a group are about. We have grown to 750+ members because of the positive reputation we, as a group have created. We have found regular meeting places, like Hooked, who have not only taken great care of us but who have also taken great pride in our partnership with them. This has happened because of our appreciation for them, as sponsors and their appreciation for us, as patrons. We have been able to grow as a group because of this reputation- people want to host parties (i.e. Philly Farm) and businesses have been open to our desires/needs (i.e. music and games at Hooked) because they know we will do nothing but respect their homes/establishments. We offer this reminder because we want all of our members to know that we value and therefore expect this level of respect in all that we do. We also prioritize "a good time" in all that we do but know that can be done respectfully. Many of us have defined or re-defined our "circle of friends" by way of this group and for that we are ridiculously grateful. We want all members (new and old) to have that same awesome opportunity as they come to our events and can comfortably and happily get to know other women. Kindly, Lindsay and Cheryl
