Events are intended for people who identify as women, which includes trans women. Our Code of Conduct (https://github.com/WomenWhoCode/guidelines-resources/blob/master/code_of_conduct.md) applies to all events run by Women Who Code, Inc.

DESCRIPTION: This monthly meetup covers algorithms. We'll split attendees into two main groups:

Whiteboarding skills : You'll solve algorithms in small groups, break off into your preferred programming language and work together to find a solution. Problems are provided and vary in difficulty, check out out Github repo for examples of past problems (https://github.com/WomenWhoCodeNYC/Algorithms).

For Beginners : You'll pair with other members and practice answering easier algo questions. This group will be led by a more experienced developer who will help you out when you get stuck.

Schedule:
6:30 Arrive/Network/Food
7:00 Welcome from Women Who Code and Organizers
7:05 Welcome from Grace Hopper Academy
7:15 Meetup starts
9:00 Event ends after optional solution presentation from volunteers

For our beginners, we recommend creating accounts on either http://jsbin.com/ or http://codepen.io/ , to give you an place to practice your algorithms problem-solving skills.

HOST: Grace Hopper Academy is the first women-only web development immersive program in NYC. GHA offers deferred tuition, allowing students to pay tuition only once they begin working as developers, after the program.

WWCode events are intended for all women (trans and cis), trans men, and genderqueer folks who are interested in attending. We are emphatically queer and trans friendly and committed to matters of social justice as an organization. Select events may be open to the general public, which will be clearly noted in event descriptions. Our Code of Conduct (https://github.com/WomenWhoCode/guidelines-resources/blob/master/code_of_conduct.md) is in effect at all of our events. If you have any questions, please message the Directors of this chapter.
