This class offers an introduction to the fundamentals of Tai Chi exploring posture and movement from a Tai Chi perspective, how to build a solid foundation for practice, one or two Tai Chi postures and the benefits of Tai Chi in terms of mind, body and spirit.
The focus will be on the Yang Style 24 posture form.
Places will be limited to 10 people due to space.
This introduction to Tai Chi is offered free and donations to the BE Energy Center are always welcomed.
The Woodland Hills Tai Chi and Qigong meet up group offers group classes and practice sessions for those interested in the Chinese arts of Tai Chi (Taijiquan) or Qigong (Chi Gong), whether current or past students both arts or those completely new to them. The meet ups will focus on the Yang style 24 posture form and the Nei Yang Gong (Inner nourishing work) style of Qigong and are suitable for all ages and physical conditions The groups will be led by Steve Barker, a certified instructor of both Tai Chi and Nei Yang Gong Qigong at the National Medical Qigong Hospital and Training Facility in China. The meet up group is suitable for anyone interested in finding out more about either of these ancient chinese arts and looking to improve their overall health and well being.
