RE: [WordPress-Brisbane] WordPress Dev Workflow - Windows

I have windows 8.1, Hyper-V, Vagrant, VVV ( Varying Vagrant Vagrants) and vvv-site-wizard, links below.

There are some small caveats to get around but now it works reasonably well and I ported the modified version I made into a new version that can be used to create Laravel environments in the same fashion.

I have several, small, Linux VM's running in Azure with EasyEngine for staging as well as production. I can SCP or rsync from staging to production very quickly and now the Azure servers are in Sydney and Melbourne, the speed is great.

I am working on final stage of the dev environment, being able to publish to staging and production using git and github. I am also finalising my documentation and the configuration of my Ubuntu 14.04 box that I use. There are only a few small additions required to make it work with vagrant and SMB, then VVV does all the provisioning you need for hosting multiple WordPress sites.

Will be posting a guide very soon as well as updating my box on vagrant cloud, my first box is already there wildetech/hyper-u1404 .

Happy to share if anyone wants more info and will advise as soon as I have the guide in place.

Hi all,

Interested in your workflow for developing and staging sites with Windows. I've been looking at vagrant without much success and other options.

Any tips from your experiences?
