Responsive Design and why we care about image sizes

Hi everyone,

Now that we've learned about a new method for web development using Ethan Marcotte's "responsive design" philosophy, we know that we're going to run into problems loading an image meant for large screen displays into smaller screens on mobile devices. If you design for mobile first, then obviously your image sizes are going to be very small and they won't scale up to a 60" television.

WordPress UI designer, Sara Cannon, just posted this link on Twitter from A List Apart: http://www.alistapart...

The post describes the issue we discussed at last night's meetup. How do you find a way to swap images for each device.

Hope this helps to provide further guidance on this topic.
