This month’s WordPress developer meetup is all about imposter syndrome. We’ve decided to get some presenters in who are far better suited to talk about it than us.

It’s a seriously good line up, talking about living with, the cost of and getting over imposter syndrome.

Agenda

6:30 Arrive, mingle, chit chat, pizza scoffing (thank you envato)

7:00 News and talks:

Developer, Dee Teal (https://thewebprincess.com/)

  • Imposter syndrome is costing you money

Dee (@thewebprincess (https://twitter.com/thewebprincess)) is a front-end developer, blogger and community organiser. Dee has a Masters degree in Digital Communication and Culture and has been working with WordPress full time since 2009.

Dee has been running her own business since 2005. Freelancing means selling yourself, Dee will tell you the ways imposter syndrome will try to undermine you.

Recovering imposter, Gary Pendergast (http://pento.net/)

  • I’m smarter than you

Gary (@GaryPendergast (https://twitter.com/GaryPendergast)) is a MySQL, web and music geek working at Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com. Gary is a WordPress core committer and works full time on core.

Gary is a recovering imposter.
