We are very excited to announce our first WordPress Cafe!

On August 1, 2013 WordPress version 3.6 was released to the public. There are a many exciting features that were released. Now it's a great time to discuss the new features and see how we can take advantage of them.

After the presentation we will be able to answer some of these questions and share our viewpoints.

WordPress 3.6 for developers:

How do these features help developers do their work faster?  Have you tested them all? Which one is your favorite? Are you disappointed in any of these? Why? Are there any features you think were important to include in this release that were left out?

WordPress 3.6 for your users:

Which features are going to make your client happier? Has any of your clients noticed the improvements? Share your experience!

For this WordPress Cafe we are happy to announce a really interesting presentation by Luc Princen as our guest speaker: WordPress' Pulse; diving into the WordPress Heartbeat API.

With the release of WordPress 3.6 comes the new Heartbeat API which allows for regular communication between the browser and the server. Luc will talk about what it is and how you can use it. After that he'll take a more hands-on approach and use some WordPress-heartbeat magic to create cool auto-updating post-comments.
