Customizing a WordPress Theme

We're starting off 2012 with a great presentation on customizing a WordPress theme. We're starting the Meetup at 6:30pm, with the first half hour reserved for networking and catching up with old friends.

Laura Hartwig will be presenting on how to customize the WordPress 2010 theme. Laura will go step by step in showing us how to customize the look of our themes:

navigation colors
font type
H tags
sidebar styles
and more

Laura has been building websites since 2005 and began to work exclusively with WordPress in 2010. She now specializes in helping small business owners establish their web presence with WordPress. By using existing themes and customizing them to fit their needs she is able to provide them with a high quality affordable solution. Laura has a Degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois where she also studied art & design.

New Year, New Location

As you can see we have a new location for the new year, Watercooler.

Watercooler, is a 1,650 square foot light filled open-plan shared work space located on the second floor of 21 North Broadway in the heart of downtown Tarrytown. With a variety of work space options, members can choose from private desks, shared tables, or our comfortable lounge area. All members have access to a 10-person sound-proof conference room, WiFi, printing, faxing and scanning, use of Watercooler address for mail, FedEx services, shared kitchen (with endless free fair trade coffee), intern program, lectures, workshops, and best of all, community!

A quick note on the door to Watercooler. It's tucked away in the corner, so walk slowly if it's your first time.
