Have you ever customized a WordPress site?

No.

How would you describe your experience level with WordPress or as a WordPress developer?

I bought a domain and loaded Wordpress on it. I have some content on three or four pages. I know a bit of HTML (enough to be able to fiddle with the text page) and I want to learn to use the HTML to make it behave how I want it to behave. But I am having trouble with graphics and the text won't justify, and the theme is supposed to be two column plus sidebar, and it only has one column etc.

Are there any aspects of WordPress or WordPress Customization would you feel comfortable sharing knowledge about? If so, what?

Ummmm... don't think I have anything to share. It's all going to be learning for me at least for a while. I might have something else to trade though. What do you need?

What aspects of WordPress do you want to learn most about?

I would like to be able to create something that I can direct people to if they want to see some of my work other than dreary technical docs. Ideally I want to be able to put "Experienced with Wordpress" somewhere on my resume, but I would really like to make it look snappy. As if I knew what I'm doing, you know?

Introduction

I'm a recently unemployed technical writer looking to develop some new web-based skills. Almost every job right now is asking for at least the ability to post stuff to the website and tinker with the HTML
