We are blessed to have La Jolla Christian Fellowship open the doors for us, to bring San Diego musicians together for a night of worship and encouragement. All levels of musicians are invited to join, from professionals to motivated beginners. Guitarists, vocalists, bass, keyboards/piano, drummers and other instruments are welcome!
David Dykstra will be hosting this event. The church has a complete back line, (Drums, Bass Amp, Keyboard and Amp, P.A. with monitors and piano), Just bring your instrument and cables.
“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Col 3:16)
Our worship nights are friendly and fun. There are lots of options: you can
- Perform open mic (either solo or with one or two others to back you up), or
- Lead or Play in a band (bring your own or join up with other attendees), or
- Sing along from the audience
Everyone gets a chance to play, sometimes up to four songs. However, on busier nights, you may be asked to play in either a band or open mic (not both), or limit the number of songs to two. We all cooperate and make adjustments on the spot, depending on how many people show up. The goal is (of course) to be fair to everyone.
