As Taylor steps down from being Organizer, I'm happy to take on the task to organize and host these Scripture Studies as long as the interest continues. Join us to study the Bible, Torah, scholarly commentaries and DVD lectures to enrich and deepen our understanding of scripture and our relationship with God. Let's read and discuss. Bring your bible, (if you have one, if not, we will provide one), along with a smile and a thirst to delve into scripture.

I'm not sure what to expect by creating a meetup group like this, but I myself have been wrestling with the Word for some number of years. I'm a practical person who likes to take the symbolism in the most ancient of religious texts, the Five Books of the Old Testament, and try to understand it, with the hopes of improving my life.

There are so many misconceptions about the Word that I feel compelled to set things straight, if even only one person were to show up.

I'm deeply concerned that people beat themselves up over misinterpretations, and wrong information, and I feel it would be interesting to discus what is, and isn't, in some very very old texts, and hear what people have to say.
