2 hours writing in Camden Town

  • August 1, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Two hours writing at the comfortable and cosy Yumchaa in Camden Town, in the evening.

At the Camden Town sessions, we usually spend about two hours writing at Yumchaa (it closes at 8pm), and afterwards head to a nearby pub for a drink and a chat.

Yumchaa is a popular venue – especially with laptop users – so finding table space can be tough. However, I've reserved tables and seating for 4 people each week.

You are welcome to attend if 5 or more people sign up, but you may not be able to sit with everyone else.

Finding Yumchaa

Yumchaa is located on Parkway, in Camden town, in the old Palmers' Pet Store building. There is no sign outside Yumchaa's storefront, because the building is protected by a preservation order.

If you're coming in from the Camden Town tube station, head up Parkway, past the Odeon and Jazz Cafe. Yumchaa will be on the left after you cross the road, opposite Jamon Jamon and Runner's Need.

Apologies for non attendance last night. I was up at 5 and although in Camden at 6 pm was on my last legs. Apologies also for not letting you know beforehand

Found the forced self-discipline very useful!

We'll be having the usual tables, in the back, inbetween the sofas. I'll be sat at the table with the (genuinely) high-tech Meetup sign.

Due to the number of people who say they'll be attending, some will be scattered. The tables do have access to power points for laptop users.

Sorry to do this so last minute, but I have to work until six and don't want to both everyone by showing up 45 minutes late. I'll lock in an early finish for next time!

No worries. That's the problem with having a job.

Am in Camden bizarrely but at another event. If I can I'll pop my head around the door to say 'hi'
