"Why did you hit the car, Karen?". Karen turned her head and looked back at Martha who looked at her in disbelief. She felt the intense, stinging pain in her right hand spreading up her arm to her shoulder. She wasn't used to hitting things, certainly not cars. Karen looked back at the car which showed no sign of having been knocked out. Karen couldn't help feeling insulted. She had strayed out of character, clenched her fist and HIT! Yet, she clearly wasn't going to be rewarded for her effort. Luckily there were no other people around, Martha nudged her shoulder gently, "Karen, what are you thinking?" Karen had no idea what she was thinking. Marta continued, "Why did you hit the Volkswagen?" Karen had no idea that it was a Volkswagen. "I don't know why I hit the...red car." She smiled to herself. "But now I know what a Volkswagen looks like"
I love making up stories and characters and writing in general but I struggle to motivate myself to write regularly after work. I think it would help to be part of a writer's group.
Motivating and friendly atmosphere
