You submit your writing, novels in progress, any genre, non-fiction, stories, articles, memoirs, blogs. Other writers critique so you can make it better. Organizer has 32 books published with four released in 2011 and three more "making the rounds." He just finished the first draft of a screenplay. If you are writing, or need motivation to get started, or don't know where to turn with your work, join us. We are a working group who knows all writers need help. Which way should you go, e-book, printed, self-POD, agent, direct to publisher, big houses or small, established or new. Most meetings will be working meetings doing critiques.
We all want to be published. Sometimes it takes a little help with plot, charactertization, dialog, or as simple as punctuation. Or maybe we should start off in another direction. We are here to help each other.
If you are serious about writing but want to know if or what you may be doing wrong, or if you want to get started and don't know where to begin, or you just can't seem to find the time to write (remember one page a day is a novel in a year), get yourself to our meetings. Young, old, inbetween, men, women, inbetween, all are welcome. Check us out.
We meet the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Barnes & Noble basement, corner of PCH and 2nd, at 7pm. No money is asked for. For the first meeting, just bring yourself. we'll show you how we work.
