Hey y'all, for those of you who came last night, thank you so much! I had fun, and I hope that you did too. Just so you know, I run a writing school which is an extension of the great literary community you experienced. If you are interested in a class, the spring semester starts tonight and there are many 1 day classes happening soon. http://writingpad.com/classesby... but no pressure! See you soon. :)

Hi Everyone! I'm so excited about Writers with Drinks tonight. Stop by any time after 8. We will be there until 11ish. They will be having a special literary drink and a literary grilled cheese for $8 each. Remember, to get into the bar (which is in the back of the barber shop), you need to go through the barber shop and ask to be let into the bar. A Writing Pad representative should be at the door too. Feel free to bring friends. The Blind Barber is right next to Best Buy, and you will see a striped barber pole outside. See you soon! And register here: http://www.writingpad.com/events.htm#DRINKS

I would be more excited about this event if the drinks and snacks were affordable. The speakeasy vibe is cool and everything, but daang.

Yeah, it's a little pricey over there but it's worth it. Come to the one in DTLA next month. Tony's and Pizzanista are cheaper. I don't make any money off of this so it's not in my control. We just pick a nice bar.

Hi Lynn, I'm new to this Meet Up thing so for some reason, I can't find your individual message. To answer your other question, the age range is from 20-60. Folks are very friendly and you will feel welcome no matter what your age. If you are looking for an amazing memoir class, I highly recommend Brett Paesel. She's a bestselling memoirist and a wonderful teacher. I take all of her classes. Here is her next one:

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
