Volunteering Requirement:

The CSC is implementing volunteering requirements for the parent(s) of each child registered in the Jackrabbits Program. Parents must volunteer for one shift (min 4 hours) of the following per registrant:

-Tend the CSC booth at one event: e.g. MEC Snow Fest, Lilac Festival, Marda Gras, etc.

-Assisting with the Lake Louise Loppet or Shaganappi Golf Course.

-Coaching or assisting with the Jackrabbit Program.

To ensure volunteer participation we require a separate cheque deposit of $100 (post dated April 1, 2016) per Jackrabbit registration mailed upon registration to the CSC office (PO Box 36095, RPO Lakeview, Calgary, AB, T3E7C6) which we will hold until volunteering is complete. Volunteering opportunities will be posted on Meetup. If volunteering is not fulfilled by May 1st, 2016 the cheque will be cashed.

Coaching:

If you are interested in coaching Jackrabbits please email jackrabbits@calgaryskiclub.org to find out more regarding training and other requirements. Note: Coaching is also a way of fulfill volunteer requirements while spending time with your Jackrabbit.

Ski Equipment:

The CSC offers season-rental of ski equipment on an as needed, first-come first-serve basis to kids ages 4-12 in the Jackrabbits Program. You simply need to provide a damage deposit when you pick up the equipment. If you are interested in renting equipment please be sure to RSVP to the question regarding equipment. Ski equipment pickup will occur in December. Sorry the CSC does not have skis for adults.

Cancellation of lesson:

The CSC reserves the right to alter the schedule, or combine classes depending on registration levels, weather, and availability of coaches. The Jackrabbit coaches will cancel practice if the temperature is colder than –18 Celsius (with wind chill).
