So glad that all of you were able to make it and that you found it meaningful and fun. Looking forward to seeing those of you who can make it at the next "Third Thursday" event in October! -Brian

Hi everyone, this group is full of the kind of thinkers, experimenters, inventors, leaders, and tinkerers that I enjoy conversing with and getting to know. I am fascinated at the talent pool we have in Portland. My main project of the moment is a Sharing Economy portal in Portland at www.brightneighbor.com - the first all-in-one social network to rent/buy/sell/barter/lend/borrow from people who live around you. If you haven't seen what cool stuff you can get, check it out! My wish is that lots of bands, art, and film folks will get in there and add gear to share with one another to reduce ownership costs... we have plenty of stuff in Portland, we just need to let each other use it ; )

Very cool John! On the previous version of Bright Neighbor we have lots of skills in there (www.portland.brightneighbor.com), I can see porting over users for teaching, and vice versa. We teamed up with other Sharing Economy companies and are now leading the Internet as the first "Aggregator" - think Kayak.com of sharing... exciting times!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
