GENERAL GUIDELINES

Do not eat anything heavy for three hours before you practice. A light snack such as a piece of fruit is sufficient to sustain you.

Drink plenty of water!

Wear clothes you can comfortably move in.

It's best to do yoga barefoot, to conduct the electromagnetic energy through nerve endings in the feet.

Choose a suitable surface to practice on. A rug, thick blanket or standard yoga mat will all suffice.

Use a shawl or blanket to cover yourself during deep relaxation, and to keep your spine and shoulder warm during the meditation.

Never practice yoga under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you are taking medication under the supervision of a physician, consult him/her before proceeding.

Don't aggravate existing injury. If you are creative, you can work around it and ultimately help the healing process.
