Austin Peace Studio & Yoga in the Park was created in 2004 to promote Peace, Health and the study of our True Nature through Yoga that includes the study of the Classical Yoga, yoga postures (asanas), breathwork (Pranayama), the internalization of the senses (Pratyahara) and meditation (using various techniques including breath awareness, mantra, mudra and more).
In our sangha (community with a common vision) we practice Hatha yoga (Anusara, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Vinyasayoga Krama and Kundalini) based in Pranayama, Mudra and Mantra, as well as meditation. Classes are breath & heart centered with a joyful, healing approach.
In each class we'll learn to align with our highest potential to be able to express it more fully in our lives.
We also practice Mat Pilates with a Balance Ball.
These are alignment based Pilates classes: we work on concentration, precise, controlled flowing movements along with the breath. Pilates will help you build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk. People who do Pilates regularly feel they have better posture, are less prone to injury, and experience better overall health.
We complete the class with a Restorative posture that invites a healing space for well-being.
There will be NEW workshops on Breathing techniques, Chakra Therapy & Yoga with Live Flute music.
