Are you a Yoga Rockstar?????????
Join me in exploring Yoga and what turns you on...from Rock and Roll Kirtan Music in a Yoga class being played LIVE by touring/rock and roll recording artists to indoor and outdoor Yoga events with TWO yoga practitioners at each class - ONE on the floor and ONE leading! Every event could be different from the next, attracting people who have never tried Yoga, never heard of Kirtan Music as well as people who practice yoga regularly! We are really excited to bring a fun group of people together who have a sense of humor and possibly don't see how they "fit" into Yoga and show them how all of this has inspired me beyond whatever misconceptions I've ever had of what Yoga is or what people who do Yoga are! Forget it all!!! No judgements...just be youself and you'll be so surprised how Yoga along with many other things work together so beautifully and can really expand YOU!
I have spent most of my life as a singer/musician, touring over 300 days a year and my partner in this, Daniel, has also spent most of his life following that undeniable passion in music for better or for worse! With his teaching experience (see below) and my ongoing journey with teaching along with our music backgrounds, we are determined to bring our new classes and new ideas of what Yoga class can be, to everyone from all walks of life!
So this will be an ongoing process of us gathering up the people we'd like to share this with and I thought we'd start with an introductory meetup group event!
So please join us to start, at a class of Daniels on Tuesday, June 30th at Runyon Canyon at 6PM for outdoor sunset yoga! We thought it would be a great event for us to get to know each other because its a donation based class, great for an intro to Yoga or regular practitioners and after the class we are going out to dinner to one of our favorite Indian Restaurants near by! Just hang with friends, talk and eat good food! Unfortunately, you can only attend the dinner by RSVP-ing here for both so we can get a head count for the reservation. Please reply quickly so we can hold your spot! And by joining this group, (Meetup is the easiest web spot to join I've ever seen!), the first 20 people to join will be guaranteed a spot for our first event outside of the Tuesday June 30th intro!!
So, I don't care where you came from, what you do for a living or if you know Yoga or not.... come get the freak on with us and this brand new team!
See details below and hope to hear from you soon!! We will let you know as soon as one of our events is booked outside of this intro event! Kick ass! xxxKatrina
Things to know:
-Please make sure not to join the group if you realistically think you live too far away to actually attend our meetups.
-Dinner after Yoga on Tues. 30th is at your expense for your meal but luckily the restaurant is fairly inexpensive!
-Yoga is donation based!
-Events after this initial meetup introduction will include a fee for Yoga, Music and many other pairings as they will need much more detailed preperation. This event is a good way to gather our troops together for the exciting possibilities Daniel and I will be offering!
-You will go from Yoga, in your own car, to the restaurant for a 7:15PM reservation. The day before I will send an email out with a cell number to reach us should you need it.
-Yoga at Runyon Canyon in Hollywood can be found at:
2000 N Fuller, Fuller and Franklin, Los Angeles, CA 90189
Top of Fuller, at the base of Runyon Canyon Park. Walk through the gates of the park and to your left there will be a cleared, gated area. We meet for Yoga in there!
- Parking for Yoga: You might want to get to Runyon early to park, which can be found on the surrounding streets!
-Yoga starts at 6PM. Get there a few minutes early! Bring a sweater, water and a yoga mat (towel for underneath) but if you don't have a mat, it’s OK to use just the towel.
