Powder Canyon Trailhead - cancelled this week, but see you next week!

We will meet between 9:20 and 9:25 a.m., and start hiking at promptly at 9:30. (We start this hike later to accommodate my travel time from my kids' school.)

We will hike a combination of flat trail and hills in a beautiful local park. We can split into 2 groups if we have a combination of intermediate hikers and beginner hikers with at least 2 in both groups. If not, we will accommodate the slowest hiker's pace.

To find us, take Imperial Hwy or Harbor Blvd to the intersection of Imperial and N. Harbor Blvd in Fullerton. From there, go north on Harbor to Fullerton Rd, which will be on your left after more than 3 miles. Turn left onto Fullerton Rd and follow it around its curves to the first entrance to Powder Canyon, on your left after you have seen only park on your left for a quarter of a mile. Turn left onto the dirt road by the sign for the park, and follow it to the parking lot at its end.

Wear sunscreen and comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring water.

If no one but me has RSVP'd "I'm going" by Wednesday evening, I will cancel the hike. Rainfall before the hike or expected rain during the hike will cancel the hike. If you aren't sure whether the hike is cancelled, check here and if it has been cancelled, it will be marked as such. If I am not sure whether it will need to be cancelled, I may wait until the night before to make that decision, but if you check the same morning and the hike is still posted, I'll be there!
