Yosemite Campsite Share

Getting camp sites in Yosemite is hard. So hard. So hard that you have to book 6 months in advance. And you have to do it right at 7:00am on the dot. At 7:01 sites are gone. And guess what, that sucks to do on a Sunday morning....... with a hangover. Yeah, that was my last Sunday. But Yosemite it where the good climbing is and dammit I'm going (and you can come to).

So this group is about helping more people camp in Yosemite. How? Well sites allow up to 6 people, and you can easily get away with 8. Often people who reserve a site only have 2-4 people with them. So lets put all that extra space to good use. It's time to create a place for people who love all Yosemite activities to post their sites and others to join them.

We think you'll meet lots of great people. It's a bit of an adventure in itself. Likely you'll share some stories, some food, even some beer and wine. We met a whole bunch of climbing partners this way last year and the community keeps growing. You teach us about your fancy outdoor cooking skills and we'll teach you about all our climbing gear, deal?

And if you get a chance go read about our "Thank you system" for people who open up their campsites to us. We think its going to make for a fun community: http://www.meetup.com/YosemiteCampShare/about/

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
