Estate in a private street - we will tie balloons to the street sign.
Go up the hill to double gates that lead to the estate. We will tie balloons to the gates. Drive through the gates, past the fountain, and someone will direct you to a place to park!
Dress to impress:
This soiree is for the mature. Dressy and Semi-Formal attire. Men preferred in suit or jacket and women in long gown or cocktail dresses - Red Color Please!

Direction:
From San Francisco: Take I-880 south to Auto Mall Parkway. Turn left (east) and go past I-680 (Auto Mall becomes Durham Rd) and past Mission Blvd (Durham Rd becomes Cougar Dr). Then see below.
From San Jose: Take I-880 north to Mission Blvd/I-680. Turn right on Durham Rd/Cougar Dr. Then see below.
Once you are on Cougar Drive: Turn left onto Cougar Circle. Go past Hunter Lane and start counting 10 houses on the left side of the street. After 10 houses you will see Cougar Terrace on the left (this is a small private street - we will tie balloons to the street sign).
Turn left onto Cougar Terrace and go up the hill to double gates that lead to the estate. We will tie balloons to the gates. Drive through the gates, past the fountain, and someone will direct you to a place to park.

Paul ScanlanThese estate dinner and dance parties in Fremont are set in a mansion like you'd see in a movie, so I try to respect the house by dressing up in a nice suit and showing up early. The first sixty to ninety minutes were okay. Dinner was sumptuous and offered lots of choices. I had some pleasant conversation with two ladies. Classical music played softly in the background. For that brief time holding a conversation was not a chore. The evening wore on. "High energy dance music" kicked in. The women, for whatever reason, grew colder and colder, more distant, more egotistical, and increasingly uncommunicativ
e. Getting a phone number or even just chatting for a few minutes became impossible. Flirting was an exercise in futility. Finally it all became quite oppressive, so I just went home.
Someday I will return to a future estate party at this location. Hopefully I will encounter an entirely new and different batch of ladies who are not so full of themselves and devoid of courtesy.
