Kids Build Confidence On Stage!

Many of you have asked for it again, and here it is! This time in MeetUp. SIGN UP YOUR KIDS!

*** Kids Learn to Perform On Stage in a Professional Music Studio with Microphones, Live Accompanist & Band, Experienced Voice Coach, Professional Musicians & Music Teachers! ***

Kids ages 9-17 welcome! This wide range of age and social skills helps all the kids to both stretch their abilities and act as role models.

The Youth Class is similar to the adult class (www.MeetUp.com/VocalPerformanceClass), but there will be more time to play! We will work on singing at least one (or more than one, if the student is ready) lead song, how to lead the band, cue solos, and more.

Kids will also have fun in our improv portion of the class. We'll all take turns dressing in costume and finding the most authentic (and sometimes very silly) way to express a character. This gives kids a chance to let go of any self-consciousness and just have fun trying to express an emotion or be another character.

We'll also work on singing back-ups, group songs, writing an original song together, and of course our own individual performances.

Kids who also play an instrument are highly encouraged to play and sing! They will practice learning to play at their particular level along with other professional musicians. And, if their skill level and comfort level allow, they can even help to accompany other students.

The kids will be accompanied by professional musicians who have many years of experience teaching kids and encouraging them to have fun while stretching their abilities to reach their highest potential.

The class is organized & directed by an experienced and certified vocal coach, choir director, band leader and professional singer who has been inspiring students to get real & express themselves for almost 10 years.

At the final show & performance, the kids will be accompanied by a real live professional band! We'll invite family and friends for a fantastic show & celebration.

We'll meet in the afternoon once a week (except holiday weeks) for about 90 minutes. Once school starts, we'll continue to meet after school once a week. The class schedule will accomodate all of the students' summer & school schedules, so contact me and let me know what works for you and we'll go from there.
