Our goal is to establish the Berlin Frontend Meetup as a regular opportunity for the frontend community to meet, talk, exchange, demo and hack. Interested in joining the fun? Have something you want to present at one of our next meetups? Feel free to reach out to us via our Meetup page or email to henrik.andersen@zalando.de or janine.schneider@zalando.de (janine.schenider@zalando.de).
More details on the talks:
Princiya Marina Sequeira (Zalando Tech): Fun with JavaScript
JavaScript is one of the world's most popular programming language, but why is it so misunderstood? Despite the laments, how did it turn out to be the sole programming language of the web? Let's re-explore JavaScript in a fun way and relook at things to get answers to the above questions. JavaScript is not misunderstood by its critics, the language is misunderstood by its advocates.
Dmitriy Kubyshkin (Zalando Tech): Frontend in the Microservices World
With many companies moving towards microservices architecture for the backend, we believe that frontend needs to evolve as well. This talk will explore possible strategies of a distributed frontend, while making emphasis on their advantages and disadvantages. As a conclusion of this evaluation, our new architecture, Mosaic, is going to be presented from the perspective of the frontend development.
See you there!
