The Zeitgeist Movement is the activist arm of the Venus Project. If you have only seen the first Zeitgeist film and not the follow up, Zeitgeist Addendum, it is free to watch at http://www.zeitgeist-addendum.tk/. It encompasses new topics and offers solutions to the root causes of societal problems of which war, poverty, and hunger are just a few symptoms.

What is the Venus Project?

In short, a blueprint to redesign our Society to reflect our understanding of science, technology, and humanity.

What it is not:

A new form of communism, socialism, or capitalism.

It revolves around the concept of taking into account all of our natural resources and using them for the betterment of all people. In a world where the military defense budget of the US alone can end world hunger, something is wrong.

"All outward forms of change brought about by wars, revolutions, reformations, laws and ideologies have failed completely to change the basic nature of man and therefore of society. As human beings living in this monstrously ugly world, let us ask ourselves, can this society, based on competition, brutality and fear, come to an end? Not as an actual intellectual conception, not as a hope, but as an actual fact, so that the mind is made fresh, new and innocent and can bring about a different world altogether? It can only happen, I think, if each one of us recognizes the central fact that we, as individuals, as human beings, in whatever part of the world we happen to live or whatever culture we happen to belong to, are totally responsible for the whole state of the world."
